Rediscover your sense of wonder in a place where luxury means stepping foot where no man has before, surrounded by an unspoiled horizon. Raw and refined, Miavana brings together exclusivity and adventure as well as travel and conservation. Contribute to the long-term sustainability of the region simply by visiting. At around 10 square kilometres in size, this intimate haven is just the place to escape and unwind.
Miavana is located on the largest of five islands in a remote archipelago off the northeastern coast of Madagascar, accessible only by helicopter from Diego Suarez and Nosy Be airports. Discovered 30 years ago by our partner Jean Christophe, an entrepreneur and treasure hunter who believed in conserving the area, this archipelago is a natural wonderland waiting to be explored.
Miavana features 14 ocean-front villas that live and breathe castaway luxury. With sea views, direct beach access, and an effortless flow between indoor and outdoor living, make yourself at home in their other-worldly destination. Expect considered design throughout, crafted to perfection with hand-dyed textiles, Malagasy wood, and local stone.
The extremely spacious villas positioned on white sugar-sand beaches and nestled between palm trees and lush island vegetation offer views across turquoise seas to rugged ochre mountains on the mainland.
Explore a 15,000 hectare marine protected area in your own stride with infinite experiences to pursue. Miavana’s activities span the horizons of land, sea and air to celebrate the best of this remarkable region. Tick off Lemur Trekking on your bucket list as you step inside pristine forests home to over 100 species of lemur or dive below turquoise waters to discover vibrant reefs, sea turtles, and manta rays. Take to the sky for thrilling helicopter excursions or set out on exhilarating ocean adventures in search of migrating humpback whales and spinner dolphins. Miavana’s fleet of boats and an endless array of equipment opens the door to every adventure.
