The key lies in choosing a reputable dive centre to embark upon this unforgettable journey. MadagasCaT works with ONLY the best dive centres.

A Trip to Lokobe Reserve: A Love Letter to Nature
Nestled within the pristine beauty of Nosy Be, the Lokobe National Park beckons nature enthusiasts with its untamed beauty.
Over 370 species of remarkable wildlife have made this paradise their home.
The forest canopy is a playground for primates, boasting 11 species that swing effortlessly between the branches.
There is really no need to be able to scuba dive in Nosy Be. The water is so clear and calm that bobbing along the surface can reward you with an array of different varieties of tropical fish. Glide over coral gardens with turtles. Many lodges have great snorkelling just off their beach but others will happily arrange a snorkelling excursion for you.
This excursion is a MUST DO. Mind blowing ocean life and gardens of coral await you. When you have snorkelled enough then go ashore and take a walk up through the forest to the lighthouse for a great view. Day trips provide a beach lunch, liveaboard charters offer the luxury of returning to your yacht for an icy cold beer and some welcome shade!
Most day excursions combine Tanikely with Nosy Komba. The people of this charming island protect their black lemur population which attracts many visitors for that ‘lemur on the shoulder’ experience. The park also showcases an Aldebra tortoise, a few Malagasy Tree Boas and some other animals. Another attraction of Nosy Komba is the market for a bit of retail therapy!
Nosy Be, Nosy Komba and most of the other villages and islands have local markets selling handmade bits and pieces. Tablecloths, baskets, sarongs, vanilla, spices, wooden carvings, jewellery, batiks, fossils, tortoise shell items and so much more! Be forewarned! When you do your shopping trip take plenty of local currency with you - the markets do not take credit cards and the best prices are always in Ariary.
Nosy Iranja: A Tropical Paradise
Nosy Iranja is a pristine island blissfully nestled in the azure waters of the Mozambique Channel.
One of the unique features of this paradise is the long sandbank that connects two small islands, Nosy Iranja Be (big) and Nosy Iranja Kely (small) at low tide.
Included would be a stop at Antsoha Lemur Island.
We can also arrange for you to spend a night on Nosy Iranja.
In collaboration with Safari Baleine we can arrange for you to spend two nights in the amazing Mitsio Archipelago, north of Nosy Be. Pick up in Nosy Be and travel by speedboat with a stop to snorkel at The Four Brothers before arriving on Grande Mitsio where you spend two nights on a full board basis at Paradise Lodge. A full day of snorkelling and exploring some of the many local islands.
If you have time then this excursion is worth including in your itinerary.
If you are land based it is worth booking a full day tour of the entire island. Learn about the history, visit Mont Passot - the highest point on the island, the Sacred Tree, the cascades, Lemurland, the old Indian town and the old harbour. Our two select tour guides are excellent and it might be worth prebooking this tour, although all hotels will be able to assist with arranging this on your behalf.
Get away from the crazy crowds and enjoy Nosy Iranja like a traveler, not a tourist.
In collaboration with Safari Baleine, MadagasCaT can arrange for you to spend a night on this paradise island.
Pick up in Nosy Be with a speed boat travel to Nosy Iranja in time for lunch at a beach bar. We suggest relaxing until the last tourist boat has departed and then explore in your own time.
