The Anjajavy Peninsula

Anjajavy peninsula gathers the most representative samples of Madagascar’s iconic treasures namely the emblematic baobabs, the tsingy, the “jajavy” tree, several species of lemurs, reptiles, some of the rarest birds in the world and a great variety of endemic fauna and flora.

Anjajavy le lodge preserves this endemic biodiversity in its 1030 ha private reserve and closely works with the local community to manage a 9773 ha protected area both terrestrial and marine. Besides, the lodge is the ideal place to observe lemurs in their natural habitat as they roam freely in our gardens, at the Oasis and throughout the forest.

The Anjajavy peninsula boasts picturesque landscapes such as 12 untouched beaches, the jaw-dropping Moramba Bay and limestone forests or tsingy.

A NATURAL EDEN TO PROTECT

The northwestern Madagascan dry deciduous forests that forms part of a recognized WWF’s ecoregion surround Anjajavy and are home to rare and endemic plant and animal species.

There are few places in the world that offer such authentic, intimate, and safe contact with nature as Anjajavy.

Infinity pool & private creeks ON THE EDGE OF A UNIQUE MARINE RESERVE

Treat yourself to a moment of pure indulgence while sipping a local cocktail along our infinity-edge seawater pool, or sunbathe on the white sand expanses of the heavenly beaches.

There are several scenic paths leading to 5 private coves. Facing the Mozambique Canal, you could be the only people in the world, perhaps just aa few triangular sails of Vezo canoes on the horizon.

The Oasis is a humid biotope garden, the result of sustained research of the species of Madagascar. It is in the heart of the hotel, behind the villas of Anjajavy le Lodge. The pond attracts frogs and chameleons. A canopy of lush trees surrounding the garden is a playground for lemurs.
