Introducing 293 On Komba: A Hidden Paradise on Nosy Komba
Nestled just above a pristine beach on the enchanting island of Nosy Komba, lies the intimate bungalows of 293 On Komba.
This secluded haven, owned and expertly managed by the remarkable Marcine Cooper, captivates the hearts of all who visit.
Since her arrival on the shores of Madagascar in 2008, Marcine discovered a love for this extraordinary country—a love that inspired her to open this unique lodge in 2011, and she has never once looked back.
With a limited capacity of only 8 occupants, 293 On Komba offers an intimate retreat, providing guests with an exclusive experience amidst the natural beauty that surrounds them.
Every bungalow within this charming lodge has been lovingly adorned by the talented Marcine herself, incorporating authentic Malagasy styled decor that reflects the rich cultural heritage of the island.
Renowned as one of our favorite spots, Marcine aptly describes 293 On Komba as a "little piece of paradise."
For MadagasCaT, this destination has become a best seller, capturing the hearts of explorers and wanderers alike.
Each unit within the lodge is a sanctuary in its own right. Among them, the Ylang Ylang stands out as a personal favorite, often sought after as the idyllic honeymoon suite. Adjoining it, the Baobab and Lemur bungalows offer exceptional comfort and ambiance, while the Tortoise (currently being renovated in time for the 2024 season) finds its home tucked under the main house with a private veranda area.
Not only does Marcine preside over the lodge with unwavering dedication, but she also masterfully prepares each dish served. Her culinary creations are renowned for their exceptional taste and presentation—a testament to her remarkable skills. And her Caipirinhas have achieved a legendary status, igniting the senses with their tantalizing blend of flavors and I can vouch for them myself. There is a full bar at 293 on Komba so no need to take your own drinks.
If you seek a tranquil escape from the everyday routine this little spot in paradise is just for you!
