Nestled off the northwest coast of Madagascar, Ankazoberavina Island—meaning "island of big-leafed trees" in Malagasy—offers a secluded paradise for nature enthusiasts and those seeking tranquility. Covering 14 hectares of untouched tropical forest, this private island is encircled by the warm, crystal-clear waters of the Mozambique Channel, creating an idyllic retreat away from the bustle of daily life.​

Accommodations

This eco-lodge features eight exclusive bungalows, artfully constructed using traditional techniques and natural materials to harmonize with the island's lush surroundings. Each bungalow is thoughtfully designed to provide comfort while minimizing environmental impact:​

  • Standard Bungalows: Approximately 32 square meters, these wooden structures are built using local techniques and materials, ensuring a comfortable stay that respects the island's ecosystem.

  • Superior Bungalows: Offering additional space and enhanced amenities, these bungalows feature larger rooms, mezzanine floors, and bathrooms with stone masonry, providing a more luxurious yet eco-friendly experience. ​

  • Treehouse Bungalow: For a unique adventure, our treehouse bungalow allows guests to awaken to the gentle rustling of leaves and the melodies of native birds, all while enjoying modern comforts amidst the canopy.

All bungalows are equipped with hot water, electricity, and standard power outlets, and are situated just 20 meters from the sea, offering guests the pleasure of relaxing in privacy.

Public space includes a spacious 200-square-meter rosewood deck shaded by majestic badamier trees. Here, guests can savour delectable meals in our restaurant, unwind with a drink at the bar, or enjoy a good book from our library, all while immersed in the island's natural beauty.
